Dill Lemon Butter Salmon

A delicious 5 ingredient dinner that's on the table in less than 30 minutes! Sounds like a win/win.

We eat a lot of Salmon in our house. It's one of the only fishes our kids will eat but I also love wild Salmon because it's lean, has lots of brain-healthy nutrients and it's filling. One giant slab at Costco will feed our family (and my lunches!) for a few days.

This salmon dish is so easy to put together and the Dill Lemon Butter drippings drizzled all over the salmon give it such a rich and versatile taste. I've used leftovers in pasta dishes, soups, with a salad...you name it. It's fresh, herby, light and tangy and the richness of the salmon does work creating a filling and healthy meal.

Lemon butter Salmon with fresh Dill and simple seasonings creates an easy dinner with a five ingredients in 20 minutes or less that everyone will love!

How to Make Dill Lemon Butter Salmon:

We eat salmon a few times a month. I love it grilled, but given the age of our son (almost 21 months), it's tough to get the grill going lately. He's into absolutely everything. He sees the toaster, he pulls the chair to it. If I'm cooking at the stove, he wants to watch. The grill? Exactly my point. Huge hazard. So I've been relying much more on the oven lately until he's at a less hazardous age. Should be about Springtime ;)

First things first...the seasoning I use. It's THE BEST. You can find it in most stores but I believe this one was purchased at Jewel. It's also available on Amazon and if you don't own it, I highly recommend purchasing it. It's super easy and so well-balanced with the herbs and the lemon butter! It's been a pantry-favorite for the last decade.

Fresh lemons, fresh dill and some butter to go with your salmon and done! 5 whole ingredients to create one of the best salmon dishes you'll every try. And simple, sooooo very simple!

I get the oven preheated to 375°, spray a 9x13 glass pan with some spray oil and wash and rinse my salmon. Skin side down, pat dry with a paper towel and generously season the salmon. With each filet, I place a little bit of butter, a sprinkle of fresh, chopped Dill and a lemon slice over it. Cover with aluminum foil and it's ready to go in the oven!

The wild salmon will cook a little bit faster since it's less fatty and thick than farm-raised salmon. If that's all you have, adjust the cooking time to 20-25 minutes depending on the thickness. The salmon should be cooked through to 145° minimum. If using wild salmon, the cook time should only be about 15 minutes.

Once the timer goes off, spoon some of the dill lemon butter onto the fish before serving. It's really as simple and delicious as it sounds.
